Vintage English John Rabone & Sons Brass & Steel 30ft Well Tank Tape Measure

Good general condition, commensurate with the age, as per the photos. Made by John Rabone & Sons, Sheffield, England, c1920's. Rare old quality tape measure, made from brass with a steel tape. With an addition of a plumb bob, this rule was used to measure the depth of a well, tank or cavern. A rare find. Some wear from use as it is a utilitarian item. The photos form part of the description
