The original sampler has been stitched on very fine unbleached linen (21 threads per 1cm), using silk threads. The sampler has been entirely worked in cross stitches over 3 threads of linen. In our reproduction the crosses over 3 threads are substituted with crosses over 2 threads. Stitched on 40ct linen, reproduction has the same dimensions as the original.

The sampler is stitched using stranded cottons by The Gentle Art threads and Classic Colorwork threads.

The Gentle Art Sampler threads: Rose Garden (x 2), Chives (x 2), Bayberry (x 2), Grasshopper, Pine, Grecian Gold.
Classic Colorworks threads: Straw Hat, Cayenne and Blackbird (12 crosses only)
