Passengers under age 26 who wish to travel through Switzerland by train, bus and boat, can purchase the Swiss Travel Pass Youth at 15% off the regular Swiss Travel Pass price.

  • Panorama routes may be subject to a seat reservation charge.

  • Only persons domiciled outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein are entitled to purchase this ticket.

  • Listed EUR, USD and GBP prices are non-binding. If paying in EUR, USD or GBP in Switzerland, the prevailing CHF exchange rate shall apply.

  • Unlimited travel on all public transport systems in many towns and cities in Switzerland.

  • A seat reservation (including supplement) is required for travel on some special train/boat/bus routes, such as Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Wilhelm Tell Express, Chocolate Train, Palm Express.

  • The Swiss Travel Pass Youth is issued only for passengers under the age of 26.

 
Swiss Travel Pass Youth under 26 Miscellaneous Provisions:

  • You are holder of a Swiss Travel System ticket. These tickets are available to persons with permanent residence outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

  • Your ticket is your personal ticket and is not transferable.

  • Please sign your ticket before beginning your journey and present it to the conductor together with your passport or identity card.

  • If you have an ''open date'' ticket, please have it validated at a station ticket office before beginning your journey.

  • Your ticket is valid from midnight of the first day of validity until 5.00 a.m. on the day following the last day of validity.


Swiss Travel Pass Youth under 26 Refunds:

A refund is only possible if you return your ticket to the issuing office before the first day of validity, or before the period of validity is entered for an open date ticket.
A partial refund is only possible in the following cases:
– Illness or accident against presentation of relevant proof documents 
– Presentation for refund at the place where the journey is discontinued 
– A confirmation from a railway office can be produced

 
Your ticket will not be replaced if it is lost or stolen

Pass names:

Swiss Travel Pass / Swiss Travel Pass Flex: Unlimited rail travel between 3 and 15 days on national & most private rail networks of Switzerland, including most of the legendary scenic routes and the public transportation systems of 41 Swiss cities.
 

Swiss Transfer Ticket: Ticket includes one free round trip to anywhere in Switzerland. The trip must start and end at the Swiss border or at any Swiss airport. Each trip needs to be completed by the end of the day and has to be as direct as possible.
 

Swiss Family Card: The Swiss Family Card entitles children up to 15 years of age to free travel, as long as at least one parent (including step and foster parents) is accompanying them. Non-family members between the age of 6 and 15 receive a 50% discount on all Swiss Travel System tickets. Valid with all Swiss pass products. This is a manually issued card.

Loss / Theft:
Pass cannot be re-issued. Travel insurance highly recommended!
 

Advance purchase:
Up to 3 months before the first day of validity
 

Refund:
Passes are 85% refundable, as long as they are returned unused to the issuing office within 1 year of issuing date. Exchanges must be processed as a refund followed by a new sale.
 

Travel restrictions:
The Pass holder has to pay pass holder fares on some trains (this will include the cost of the reservation). E.g. TGV and Lyria ..etc.
 
Reservations and/or supplements are payable on some trains, Postbuses and boats. Such supplements can be booked locally.
 

Discounts available to pass holders:
Mountain-top Trains and Cable-cars: - 50% discount. Exception on Kleine Scheidegg-Jungfraujoch route which offers a 25% discount. 
 

Exhibitions/museums: Free admission to over 450 museums in Switzerland, including the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne, The Olympic Stadium in Lausanne, the Paul Klee Centre in Bern - see www.museumspass.ch for further information on all museums included.
 

Upgrade:
Upgrade is sometimes possible by paying the difference between First and Standard class.
 

Conditions of use:
Pass is non-transferable, and holder must be able to provide a valid proof of their identity. e.g. passport
Before using the Flexi Pass, the holder must enter each date that the pass is used in the date panel on the pass, with an indelible pen, prior to starting the journey.
 

Travel Documentation:
Customers will receive a Synoptic Map with their pass, which shows the main train routes of Switzerland.
