Travel by high speed AVE trains at speeds of up to 190mph from Madrid to cities including Barcelona, Seville, Malaga and Valencia.
When you catch an AVE train, you can look forward to a relaxing and comfortable journey. Many little extras come as standard, like headphones and a choice of radio channels at their roomy seat and TV sets in each carriage.But for perks like access to AVE lounges, a welcome drink, and a meal, snack or breakfast served at their seat depending on the time of day, upgrade to first class (Preferente) or Club class.
CLUB CLASS
Travel in Club class and experience all the luxuries of first class plus:
- Comfortable leather seats
- Tables at every seat
- A la carte hot meal and drinks served at seat (on all routes except Madrid-Valladolid & Madrid-Albacete)
- Access to a conference room on-board the train (cannot be pre-booked)
Seats in Club class are arranged in pairs on one side of the aisle and a single seat on the other.
Club class is available on selected AVE services.
FIRST CLASS (PREFERENTE)
Travel in first class and enjoy all the comfort of standard class but with a little bit more luxury.
- Access to AVE Club lounges with TV, newspapers, magazines, fax machine, internet and drinks.

- A meal at seat for no extra charge (on all routes except Madrid-Valladolid & Madrid-Albacete)
- Free parking at the station (24 hours if a single ticket, 48 hours if a return)

STANDARD CLASS (TURISTA PLUS)
Travel in first class for a comfortable journey and enjoy all the perks of standard class (Turista).

- Air conditioned carriages
- Access to the buffet car, selling drinks and hot or cold meals
- Access to baby changing facilities
- A power socket (on most AVE trains but not all) and radio at seat
- A shared TV screen in every carriage
