Review : This is an is a series of epic artistry. To begin with, the title, "The Bean" may not seem like much, and a little odd, but that is the beauty of it. It's odd enough to gain your interest but concealing enough to not give off spoilers. When I first saw this series at a convention it was first the art style. It reminded me of Calvin and Hobbes but set in a world more like Lord of the Rings. However, this is not a lighthearted story, nor is it broken into strips with a punch line at the end of the page. No, this is so much more and it is a narrative that is immersive and is best enjoyed as a whole. The artwork is especially enjoyable and it was always a pleasure to see small dragons of various types leaping and scurrying in and out of the pages. The tale itself is well written, telling of a young boy being entrusted with a mysterious and dangerous power, but one he may not be ready for, especially with an invading army bent on destroying all who stand in their way. But the tale isn't just about him. Each character he meets has a story of their own. Having read the first four books I am left wanting more! In an eager and very good way. If you are interested in a world where ogres aren't all bad, goblins always lie, trolls sing in rhyme, and where elves have three fingers, and all of it wrapped up in a war for the hearts of all, then this is the story is for you!

Just browsing through the store. I like this version. The pages are laid out well, images all load (none of which were the sites fault before, however it shows that the version is much improved to handle junky clunky browsers.) I saw some people had left reviews, but no questions asked. So... Why is Bean, named 'Bean'?

Glad to see things working- Are you asking why is the comic named "bean" or why bean himself is named "bean" The "Bean" is actually a nickname for someone very dear to me and as I watched him grow older, he just fit the role, so I built a story around his nickname. The character itself... well that will be answered much later on in the comic:)
