Part# KB-MSP-60-DLB40-LEAF-54 : Kustom Bitz diff brackets range are stronger than the standard OEM units ~ this lowering block suits our Leaf spring style bracket that welds to the differential axle tube. Made from mild steel this bracket is heavy duty 6mm thick plate. 
 
This part number is for the 54mm narrow springs [2 1/8 inch]  and it lowers the car by an extra 40mm.

Note that all our Diff hanger brackets measure 15mm from the spring to the outer diameter of the diff axle tube.  Therefore to work out ride height from the top of the spring relative to your axle centre line, divide the axle tube diameter by 2 then add 15mm + 40mm and that will give you the centre of the wheel relative to the top of the leaf spring. These lowering blocks can be trimmed/cut down to taylor your ride height. Note that these lowering blocks are about as low as you would want to make them becasue any taller than 40mm and you typically make the bottom of the spring clamps and "U" bolts lower than the bottom of the wheel rim, which is not good engineering if you consider when you get a tyre puncture you do not want any parts of the suspension lower than the bottom of the lower edge of the wheel rim.  Those of you modifying utes will have to pay close attention to this also becasue the utes usually have more leaves per spring than a sedan.

These lowering blocks have to be welded to your diff hangers. They are NOT desiged to be clamped in place. These weld on units are aimed at better engineering practice so that they get welded on and cannot move like the old fashioned alloy blocks.
